Hidden away on a charming side street, Talisman Hotel exceeded our expectations. Immaculate rooms, friendly staff, and a relaxing atmosphere made our stay unforgettable. The tour was private and tailored to our preferences, providing a comfortable and personalized experience. I highly recommend Talisman Hotel and Adventures in Egypt for anyone visiting Cairo.

Unbeatable location and affordable rates. The bedroom was twin, for sure no reason to complain. Nice place for exploring Cairo...

We loved the original Egytian decor and the comfortable rooms and the free internet access. The bathrooms had everything that you needed and a good shower. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. the rooms were quiet even though we were in the middle of downtown Cairo. Our room had a pretty balcony and good air conditioning. We loved staying there.
the entrance to the hotel is offputting because it is hard to find. There is no sign at all on the street or inside the apartment building which indicates where the hotel is. There is a sign for another hotel. if the old lift does not work you have to climb up 5 flights of stairs which are dirty and have cigarette ends and dust everywhere. The breakfast was OK but there could have been a wider variety of fruit.

We liked staying in Downtown Cairo - it was near to everything we wanted to do.
This is not a complaint, only a small technicality: WiFi was only available in the lounge areas; it was not available in the rooms.

The design of the hotel is excellent. Very comfortable feeling and unique. Also, the staff were extremely courteous and helpful.
The complimentary breakfast didn't have enough food or variety.

I love the atmosphere in talisman hotel and the old furniture. Each room is furnished and painted in a different way which makes of it a different experience each time. The location is perfect, very close to Midan - if you are interested in "revolution tourism"- and the downtown area is where all the art deco buildings of beginning of last century are located. Few meters away from cinema Metro, one of the historical movie theater in Cairo. For those who dont mind the chaos and colors of Cairo, the downtown area is much better than Zamalek or a more "upper class" district. The hotel is anyway very silent, clean and charming, what in French we would define as "hotel de charme". Staff very kind and helpful.
Some rooms have a lower wi-fi signal but if you ask the staff they will help to solve the problem
